How it works
A multi-currency expense splitter lets a travel group log costs in different currencies and settle up in one. Each expense is converted to your chosen base currency at live exchange rates, split across the group, and reduced to the fewest payments to settle up.
How to use it
- Choose the currency to convert everything to.
- Add the people in your group.
- Log each expense in the currency it was paid.
- Click Split & settle up to see totals and payments in one currency.
FAQ
How does the multi-currency splitter work?
Pick the currency you want everything converted to, add your group, then log each expense in whatever currency it was paid. The tool fetches live exchange rates, converts everything to your base currency, splits it, and shows the fewest payments to settle up.
What if exchange rates can't load?
If live rates are unavailable, the tool tells you and treats amounts as 1:1 so it still runs — just reload to fetch rates again.
Is currency conversion really free?
Yes here, and also in the Splitwin app — unlike some apps that lock currency conversion behind a paid tier.
