Splitwin is a free app for splitting expenses with friends, roommates, and travel groups. You create a group, log who paid for what, and Splitwin tracks everyone's balances and tells you the fewest transfers needed to settle up. It works for trips, dinners, rent, and any shared cost, with support for multiple currencies. Splitwin is available on iOS and Android.
Is Splitwin free?
Yes — every feature in Splitwin is free, with no paywalls and no subscriptions. Instead of charging for features, Splitwin runs on a simple token system called Splitoo: every new user gets 50 free tokens, you spend one per expense, and settling up is always free. If you run low, you can earn more by watching an optional rewarded ad — only when you choose to — or buy a low-cost token pack. Splitwin never interrupts you with forced ads.
How is Splitwin different from Splitwise?
Splitwin is a separate expense-splitting app with a different approach to pricing. Instead of locking core features behind a paid subscription, Splitwin keeps every feature free using a token system, so anyone can track expenses, see balances, and settle up without paying to unlock features. It also adds on-device receipt scanning with OCR and automatic multi-currency conversion.
Can Splitwin scan receipts automatically?
Yes. Splitwin can scan a photo of a receipt and turn it into an itemised expense using AI, so you can assign each item to the right person and split the bill without typing everything in manually.
Does Splitwin support multiple currencies?
Yes. Splitwin automatically converts expenses between currencies, so groups travelling abroad or with members in different countries always see accurate balances in their own currency.
